JUMPBALL SUMMER LEAGUE AT BELLEVUE PARK ON EAST 26th STREET JUMPING OFF
The Funsport Jumpball league has partnered with Hard 2 Guard Productions and Sky Jam to provide a great look for the Bellevue community on East 26th St between 1st & 2nd Avenues. We have DJ Ski High out keeping the park poppin and the games intense with latest hip-hop and R&B. The games always showcase a nice crowd. The games are played every Saturday and Sunday starting at 3pm.
The next games will be scheduled on Sat., 7/11 at Bellevue Park on 26th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. There are still THREE spots available. Teams interested should contact us now at info@funsportinc.com.

ANTAWN DOBIE AND YATTA GAINES EARNED CO-MVP HONORS WITH THEIR PERFORMANCES
MONEY TRAIN MAKES EXPRESS STOPS THROUGH FIREBALL '09 WITH A 87-78 VICTORY OVER NYAC...
The Fireball 2009 season was a great look for its 10th Anniversary season. We changed the format of the league to commemorate the decade of existence by adding (4) teams to a 12-team format. The next ingredient was a shorter and intense season to make every game high level. The results welcomed new NBA Ballers like Wilson Chandler, Al Harrington, Sebastian Telfair, Ryan Gomes, Demetrios Nichols, and former NBA talents of Marcus Douthit and Norm Richardson. We had cameo appearances from Hakeem Warrick, Mark Aguirre, Kemba Walker, WWE Mark Henry, and Tyshaun Taylor.
In the end, Money Train proved to be the best team in the schedule and Mike Glover proved himself to be one of the best talents (young or old) playing in NYC today. They faced a solid team in NYAC who defeated them 3 years ago in the semifinals on a last second tip in. Revenge was their motivation yet it seemed out of reach early in the contest when NYAC led by as much as 18pts. The second half was a different contest when both Yatta Gaines and Antawn Dobie started to assert themselves against the guard play of NYAC. Both had spectacular games and earned Co-MVP honors.

STIXX WILLIAMS LAID HIS GAME DOWN WITH AN IMPRESSIVE 36pt - 19reb MVP PERFORMANCE
MONEY INC PREVAILS 93-86 IN BROOKLYN PRO GAME CH'IP AT MEDGAR EVERS LED BY STIXX WILLIAMS
The Brooklyn Pro championship at Medgar Evers was a great look! That "open bar look" for the adult spectators worked very well in witnessing a great championship contest. Bedford Y led most of the game until the 3rd quarter. Stixx Williams refused to lose in this matchup. He would post big numbers to lead Money Inc with an impressive MVP performance adding 36pts and 19rebs. Nesto would drop 12pts and Muff 11pts for Money Inc. Despite the loss, Jerome Richardson was solid with 25pts and 10rebs.

BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPIONS: NYC PANTHERS
PANTHERS REPEAT AS CHAMPIONS OVERCOMING A SCARE AGAINST BK BALLERS WITH A 52-49 VICTORY
This playoff weekend was lots of fun. Those in attendance witnessed the future of NYC basketball. We watched stars began to shine and high level of intensity as the competitive juices were very high. In the end, there could only be ONE and once again the Panthers proved to be #1. In the beginning both the Assassins and NJ Pirates failed to show and forfeited their chances. Chancellor Ellis was too much for C-3 Elite leading Starrett City... Jordan Nanton put his name in the spotlight with solid offensive skills to lead Brooklyn USA past a depleted NY Patriots team... New Heights eased past Gauchos in one of the better playoff games this past weekend... In the semis, a little controversy helped season BK Ballers win over New Heights although Mike Bourke would have a chance to tie the game at the line but missed the last of three free throws... John Severe and Julian Boney was not enough for Big Game to get past the Panthers... In the end, BK Ballers vs Panthers turned out to be a great contest with a late game call by the official ruling a jumpball turned away BK Ballers chance of a championship.
Most of the top teams and the top players from the metro-NYC area will participate this season. The Jr. Pros is simply the leading JHS program in NYC and we will continue to prove that. We've given young athletes quality exposure and opportunities to attend some of the better high school programs in the area.

NY KNICK ZACK RANDOLPH PRESENTS JOEL WRIGHT WITH CHAMPIONSHIP MVP AWARD AFTER HE LED TEAM HERSH TO CHAMPIONSHIP
TEAM HERSH CAPTURES FIRST BROOKLYN H.S. CLASSIC CHAMPIONSHIP WITH 95-88 WIN OVER BROOKLYN BALLERS
It was a packed crowd awaiting this championship game. The game would have a 3-hr delay due to a schedule conflict. Rather than forfeit the contest, Brooklyn wanted to see a game. Around 4:15pm up rolled a mint white Rolls Royce with 30 inch rims trailed by a white Escalade. Out comes NBA star Zack Randolph to watch the contest along with NY Knick Anthony Roberson. So some left because of the delay, but for the hundreds who stayed behind witnessed an excellent game all in memory of "Baldy". Yes, Team Hersh rallied behind the tragic death of their assistant coach to come up big in the final game before his family and friends. Joel Wright played big earning MVP honors with 17pts and 15rebs. Derrick Randall was impressive in the losing effort to earn Sportsmanship honors with 17pts & 19rebs.
It was a nice season thanks to NJ Nets, PowerAde, and Shirts & Skins. The next season starts in April 2009.
